Baker Mayfield isn't focused on his next big payday.

Ahead of his fourth season, the quarterback is concentrating on finding success with his Cleveland Browns.

"I'm in no rush because I'm just trying to win games," Mayfield said Wednesday, according to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "Like I said, it'll handle itself.

He added, "I've bet on myself my whole life. I've always taken it one day at a time, one play at a time. And I'm not going to handle it any differently now."

The Browns picked up Mayfield's fifth-year option in April, which keeps him at the club through the 2022 season.

"The chips will fall where they're supposed to," he said, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter. "The concern right now is winning and building a strong foundation for the season. That's what everyone in this building should be concerned about."

Mayfield and the Browns are attempting to build off of a promising 2020 campaign, during which the club earned its first postseason victory in 26 years.

The 26-year-old finished the regular season throwing for 3,563 yards, 26 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

The No. 1 pick from the 2018 draft joins fellow passers Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens in seeking a lucrative second deal.
