TrueType fonts are not installing correctly in Linux Mint 20.1 MATE
by beachboy2 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5K9RE)
I have successfully installed TrueType fonts umpteen times using ttf-mscorefonts-installer via the command line, or via Software Manager in Linux Mint.
I have tried both methods with Linux Mint 20.1 MATE and there is no sign of TT fonts like Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. and yes, I did agree to the EULA.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Any suggestions?
This is the output from $ ls /usr/share/fonts/truetype:
