How to disable services in Linux Mint

I looked at the files in /etc and came across Bluetooth which I do not need.
Right now it says this:

# Configuration file for the network service

[General]

# Disable link encryption: default=false
#DisableSecurity=true

To disable Bluetooth, would I open this file (there are others, I think) in a text editor and just edit true and false statements as needed or do I create new statements using "disable?"
