find permissions

Hello, complete noobie here. Doing a lab called "find" and I'm stuck on a question. The question is asking
"What are the permissions set for the above file? Submit the full permission in the format '-rwxrwxrwx'." The file is in /etc/network/fileNAME.
I used ls -l/-ls/-la and all the permission formats are not the correct answer. Can't make use of sudo command either. Is there something I'm missing? Thank you in advance for any advice or suggestions.
