14.2: Book collection software importing ISBN lists
by rshepard from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KS5Z)
I have a wireless barcode scanner that reads 13 digit ISBNs and prints them, one per line, in a text file. I'm trying to find an application that will import these lists and let me search web sites to add all available information related to each book's ISBN.
I've tried the SBo Tellico, but this version imports .csv files containing all information about each book. The current Tellico version will import a list of only ISBNs, but it requires KDE5 so it's not available to me.
Both GCstar and DarkCrow want complete descriptions of each book in the imported .csv.
According to a feature list I read Alexandria, written using Ruby and Gnome2, could import a list of only ISBNs but I cannot find a ruby-gnome2-all package to install; the other dependency, gio2, is apparently part of glib.
If there's something that will import ISBN lists and work on 14.2 please point me to it.
