Exclude a specific interface from snmpd.conf
by soulinlinx from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KWC7)
Dear Members
Question, How can i exclude a specific Interface(specific OID) from being monitored
Background:
----------
I have a situation where one of my CentOS 7.5 VM has number of containers running on, and a particular POINTtoPOINT interface gets generated named 'tun0', which seems to be dynamically going up and down, as and when required. This created a havoc for my team, as monitoring generated a lot of alerts for it, and somehow NOT able to exclude this interface from monitoring system. And This has forced me to think to have this EXCLUDED from SNMPD.conf.
I read a lot related to this around VACM and other stuff around views,MIBs/OIDs, but nothing has worked at all so far.
Please advse.
------------
Thanks
