How to use Dolphin to unmount a manually mounted portable device on arch based linux ?
by andrewysk from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KX0W)
I just want to raise this question that i realized :
I have this ventoy usb stick (which by default there are 2 partitions):
partition1 is where iso files are placed and
partition2 is where grub and EFI folders are located (this folder is not auto mounted)
So, when plugged in the ventoy usbstick; by just a click on dolphin "removable device - ventoy" , dolphin will auto mount partition1.
Hence, i mounted the partition2 MANUALLY.
My observation is:
manually mounted partition will not be shown as such "partition1" shown on dolphin gui.
and hence, one can't unmount MANUALLY the mounted partition (in this case partition2 of ventoy) .
However user can easily unmount (safely remove device) "partition1 of ventoy" with just a right click of a mouse button in dolphin gui.
How's that for "unfair" :) , or i missed out something ?
Thx
