Test on Asus Router N55U
by lugligino from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5M00Q)
I have an unused router ASUS N55U and I would like to sell it. I don't want it to be broken, what tests can I run to figure it out? Please note that I don't have internet on the phone line and I have an old 32 bit laptop with dual boot linux mint 19.3 and windows XP.
For now I have turned on the router using its power supply (the light on the router on / off turns on) and connected the laptop to the router with a lan cable connected to one of the four inputs. Having done this, I was unable to connect via browser to the router address 192.168.1.1, the page is unreachable in both linux (via FF) and windows (via IE and FF).
During the test, the 2.4 GHz led and the 5 GHz led also turned on (without flashing) after several minutes.
Did I fail to do something?
