Nvidia, Virtual Terminals and runlevel 4
by WhiteWolf1776 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5M1X8)
On the most current -current_64 and having... just oddness.
I am running on a laptop but without the usual laptop idiotic card, this one has a real Nvidia RT X onboard so I can use the stock drivers.
If I boot into runlevel 3, I can start x, switch to virtual terminals, it all works fine.
If I boot into runlevel 4 virtual terminals are dead and switching to them just kills the machine. Black screen on every terminal and black on Term 7 when trying to switch back. The mouse will eventually show up but nothing else on Term 7 with all other terminals dead. Only real option is a hard reset of the system at this point.
Anyone else having a similar issue? For now I'll just startx but... oddness I hate.
