Automated changing of configuration based upon network connection
by gmhowe from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5M23S)
Good morning,
I'm putting together a machine that is going to travel with me when I do road trips. When at home, and within range of the home network, I'd like to be able to have the box simply connect to the home network and allow me to access it from there.
When away from the home network, and unable to connect, the desired behaviour will be more akin to an access point.
So, I sat down to set this up and when I looked at it, I realised that I had no clue how to do it! Even if the config can't be done automatically, there is a switch with 3 positions that could be used to select the desired config, if I knew how to work with it.
The box itself is GL-MT300N-V2 with the 3.201 firmware based on OpenWRT.

Any assistance or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
