Switched to Linux on main computer

I have used Linux for a while now, and only half a year ago did I finally switch to Linux on my main computer (I have had a different computer which I ran Linux on for about the past 10 years, before I dual booted Windows and Linux.) The main issue was actually Secure Boot. For whatever reason, any time I tried to run any distro of Linux on my computer it just would not boot. I suspected this was because of Secure Boot (even though several distros have support for it now). However, when I went into my UEFI settings, the Secure Boot option was not visible. I assumed that it was permanently on and I could not run Linux on my computer. Half a year ago I was messing around in my UEFI settings trying to change something (I forgot what) and discovered that the Secure Boot option was actually there, just not where anyone would think it would be. I switched it off, and tried to boot Linux on the machine again. And it did boot. I then went to install it and erased Windows 10. I then proceeded to spend a full day setting up apps and finding alternatives to apps not available on Linux (yet).
