Hamilton man charged after stabbing at Upper James and Stone Church plaza

A 21-year-old Hamilton man is charged with aggravated assault after a stabbing at a plaza on the Hamilton Mountain Wednesday.

A man in his late 50s suffered non-life-threatening injuries in an attack around 4:30 p.m. July 14 at Upper James Street and Stone Church Road West, said Hamilton police.

The 21-year-old was arrested at the scene.

He's charged with aggravated assault and two counts of fail to comply with probation. He's expected to appear in court Thursday.

Police said the victim and accused know each other.
