Brantford police looking for wanted man after ankle monitor removed
Brantford police are looking for a 31-year-old man after his court-ordered ankle monitor was removed and he disappeared while out on bail.
Chad Wray-McCombs was released from the Toronto Detention Centre with an ankle monitor July 15, said Brantford police.
He faces charges stemming from an April 2019 shooting that hurt a 23-year-old man.
A day following his release, around 12:30 p.m. July 16, the ankle monitor was set off.
Brantford police were notified that the device had been tampered with and the GPS showed it was at a Brantford address, police said.
Police found the visibly damaged ankle monitor, but police have not been able to find Wray-McCombs.
If spotted police advise not to approach, but to call police.
Anyone with information can call Brantford police at 519-756-7050.
