Networking and Xorg fails after fresh 14.2 install and upgrade
by yabobay from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5MMH4)
After installing the full Slackware64 distribution on my HP Pavilion g6 and immediately running slackpkg upgrade-all, i reboot and try to test out my installation.
So i do startx but i get:
Code:Fatal server error:
(EE) no screens found(EE)
(EE)Checking out nmtui as well, the "Activate a connection" screen lists no networks, when there's definitely quite a few Wi-Fi networks around me.
I can't tell which kernel version i was running before, but there was a kernel update and now i'm running 4.4.14. Is this the culprit?
Whether or not it is, how do i fix these issues? I can provide any full logs needed.
