Unlocking Ubuntu Touch file system for installing apps

Wish to add a VPN app and attempts to install reports that the file system is locked. Safety feature, I am sure.

Need the keystrokes to unlock the system please....
And yes, I have posted on the UBports forum as well. Hope between the two I can get great guidance for my effort.
