Linux not detecting Android Cell Phone

Hello All, looking for some help with Linux (Mint 20.2 Uma" OS) not detecting Android Moto E Cell Phone. Running a Lenova ThinkPad T520 with an Intel Core i7-2620M CPU @ 2.70 GHz, 16 mg RAM, Linux 5.4.0-74-generic Kernel, and a ATA Intel SSDSC2BW 180GB SSD Drive.
When I connect the Android Moto E into my 3.0 USB port it beeps once and when I check my PCManFM file manager it does not show the cell phone.
All help greatly appreciated.
