Downing Street has refused to grant a stay of execution to an alpaca that faces the prospect of being killed after twice testing positive for bovine tuberculosis.
The farmer who owns Geronimo, the stud animal, says she fears authorities will shoot it on Friday and has appealed to the environment secretary, George Eustice, to speak to her amid last-ditch attempts to secure a reprieve.
