patching an installed binary package?
by tux01 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5N16Q)
Hi!
I am running a Gentoo-based binary distro and I have emerged an application. Now I have found out an important bug that the developers are indeed going to fix with a PR for a patch on their Github. However, I know that their PRs take some time to be closed (and of course some more time is required to bump to a new release for Gentoo). Since the patch is already there, is there a simple way for me to download and apply it to my ALREADY installed application? Thanks
