‘My dream came true’: Port Dover man wins $500,000 Lotto Max jackpot
Michael Maxwell has been playing the lottery for as long he can remember. So it stands to reason that earlier this year, the Port Dover resident had a dream he won the jackpot.
That dream turned out to be a premonition. Six weeks later, on June 18, Maxwell popped in the Esso station in Port Dover and bought a LOTTO MAX ticket worth $500,000.
I thought, holy geeze, my dream came true," Maxwell said while picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto this week.
The 52-year-old split a million-dollar prize with another lucky winner who picked the same numbers.
Along with using his windfall to pay bills and make some investments, Maxwell will soon be cruising around Port Dover in a new car.
