Five new spots and shops that have opened in Hamilton this summer
If you don't stop to look around once in a while, you might miss a new business that's popped up in Hamilton.
Here are five new spots and shops that recently opened their doors this summer.
It's Alright Ma Record Store
This record shop recently opened its doors in Barton Village. They sell rock, punk, indie, soul, jazz, country and metal records and have a selection of both used and new vinyl.
It's Alright Ma Record Store is located at 312 Barton St. E.
Snafu Studios
This vintage clothing store opened its doors in the city's downtown core in mid-June. Carving out its own niche from other vintage shops around the city, the store focuses on 90s and Y2K styles. They also offer online shopping with worldwide shipping.
Snafu Studios is located at 197 James St. N.
Brix Ice Cream
This colourful, but hidden ice cream truck in Dundas started serving up cones in mid-June. A collaboration between Midfield Interactive and Cafe Domestiique, the truck offers dippable soft-serve cones and cold brew coffee.
Brix Ice Cream is located at 11 Sydenham St. behind the Bank of Montreal in Dundas.
The Argyle
This golf-themed bar opened its doors in the Crown Point neighbourhood in mid-June. Alongside an extensive cocktail, wine and beer menu, the pub also features indoor golf simulators that can be booked by the hour.

OURO
This vintage store opened its doors in Barton Village in late June. The shop carries vintage clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories as well as collage prints created by Hamilton's own Group of 7 Billion.
