Why does traceroute -T give me 1 hop immediately at the specified host when using VPN?

Hi,

When I use NordVPN and run traceroute with the -T (TCP) flag enabled, I get this kind of output:

$ sudo traceroute -T www.amazon.com

traceroute to www.amazon.com (192.0.0.2), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
1 192.0.0.2 (192.0.0.2) 100.652 ms 100.697 ms 100.728 ms

another example:

traceroute to www.google.com (142.251.35.164), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
1 lga25s78-in-f4.1e100.net (142.251.35.164) 99.643 ms 99.673 ms 105.151 m

There's only 1 hop, and it is the same IP as the host specified in the command. This doesn't happen with other traceroute methods, and happens for any hostname or nordvpn location tried. It doesn't happen when I'm disconnected from vpn ofcourse.
