Oakville woman, 20, rushed to hospital after being hit by car

Halton Regional Police are investigating after a young Oakville woman was hit by a car while crossing the street Tuesday (Aug. 17).

The incident occurred at Upper Middle Road and Bloomfield Drive around 4:20 p.m.

The car that struck the woman remained on scene and the driver is being interviewed by police, according to Halton police.

The woman has been taken to hospital by Halton Region paramedics with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
