Brantford police’s bizarre crime briefs
Did you hear, he allegedly drove himself to the drunk tank?
And her? Police say she hit a mobility scooter with a stick.
Brantford police's crime brief Thursday contained some unusual - and alarming - behaviour.
On Aug. 17, two drivers should have gone their separate ways.
Police were called to Gillespie Drive and Ferrier Lane in West Brant and found a road rage incident in progress."
The men, one 29 and the other 45, were hooting and hollering, but then the 29-year-old allegedly took it to the next level, throwing a construction level at the 45-year-old's vehicle.
It wouldn't be a crime brief without alcohol-fuelled incidents, and in one of those, a 59-year-old man did police a favour.
Police say the Brantford man was showing signs of intoxication in the afternoon Aug. 14 in the lobby of the police station.
The release says officers watched the man drive up to the station and park in the lot.
He was charged after a breath test indicated that his blood-alcohol level was three times over the limit.
On a more sombre note, a 23-year-old woman is facing assault and mischief charges after an interaction with a senior.
Police were called to a dispute near Chatham and George streets near the downtown on Aug. 17, the release says.
A young woman was in a verbal altercation" with a 71-year-old man in a mobility scooter.
She allegedly hit the man's mobility scooter with a large stick.
