[Inkscape] Aǵain: Vectorizing handwritten text (again).
by Michael Uplawski from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5NRVM)
My first thread on the topic of handwritten text and vectorization in Inkscape, here on LQ.
The initial attempts to vectorize handwriting had been rather successful, though cumbersome.
I now face a new problem and a mystery: The quality of the vectorized images is inferior to what I have achieved previously.
Here is a screen-shot of the current results.
Irrespective of the settings - those that I have tried, so far -, the vectorized letters contain too many sharp corners. I do not expect that all attributes of the original image survive the process, but it is obvious that something has changed between my different vectorization attempts.
Do you have an idea what I can do to smoothen the letters in the resulting SVG-image so that they resemble more the original text?
TIA
