Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs isn't practicing while he seeks a contract extension, sources told ESPN's Brady Henderson.

Diggs is the third Seattle player known to skip practice because of his contract since the beginning of training camp, joining left tackle Duane Brown and fellow safety Jamal Adams.

The Seahawks have yet to resolve Brown's situation, while Adams returned to the field after inking a four-year deal.

Diggs is due $5.95 million in base salary this year during the final campaign of his contract. The 28-year-old is coming off his first Pro Bowl selection after putting together a five-interception season in 2020.

"I think he's making a bit of a statement now, but I have nothing for you to update," head coach Pete Carroll said Friday. "He deserves to do that."

The Seahawks acquired Diggs from the Detroit Lions in 2019. He's recorded eight interceptions over 21 games for Seattle.
