Trouble getting Thunderbird Mail to work
by Michael Piziak from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5NX5D)
I have purged and reinstalled Thunderbird mail many times. I have replaced the invisible folder named .thunderbird from a back up file, which always worked in the past, and still no luck.
It works fine on my laptop. In the past, when I had problems with it, I simply replaced the invisible folder (.thunderbird) with that invisible folder on the laptop (copied over to the desktop).
Any suggestions? Is there any way to reset Thunderbird mail to its default settings. Like I said, I've purged it and reinstalled it. Every now and then it will work and retrieve my emails and send them - but not very often... Perhaps there is another hidden folder/file I could try deleting/replacing ?
