Crash in Niagara-on-the-Lake claims the life of 19-year-old woman

A 19-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Saturday.

Niagara Regional Police said a Subaru Impreza was southbound on Concession 7 Road shortly before 2:30 p.m. when the driver attempted to turn onto Line 6 Road and collided with a black Audi R8.

A passenger in the Subaru, a 19-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old male driver was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Audi, a 39-year-old man and his passenger, 36, were taken to local hospital with minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing by detectives with the NRP collision reconstruction unit and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
