emacs can't find font

I'm not an emacs-user, so it's not a big issue for me, but I when I try to run emacs I get:

Code:$ emacs
Font xft:Monospace:style=Regular:size=10' is not definedI don't think I have ever removed a font from the system, and I did a full installation.
