The set up is that IoT(Linux) device (Reliagate 10-) talks over LAN to a wireless radio from another company StrixWireless through which we eventually talk to server

We have been noticing a peculiar thing and while investigating found something rather strange and want to find out if someone knows of any known issues or knows what could cause this problem or look into it:

Initial Symptom - IoT is seen at server (ip neigh | grep REACH) but when we ping server we can't. If we restart IoT the ping happens 1 out 2 times but for a short duration (15-20 min, though sometime for quite long).
I put tcpdump on IoT (statically lnked library 4.73 from a site called Andrew-d) and found that as soon as I start tcpdump I start seeing ping and as soon as I stop ping stops. I am attaching some screen shot of config in case it helps:

But this is super urgent to resolve and/or have a workaround (worst come to worst we will put tcpdump on all - just kidding)

Speed in /sys/ is 100 while radio end supports upto gig..
