New fresh installation - INclude 3rd party software?

I am about to wipe clean my PC (Intel NUC) and reinstall KDE Neon Plasma.
In the process, there is a checkbox, asking me if to include 3rd party apps....
In my previous installs I ticked that box, but now I am questioning it and look for opinions:
1) I have no idea which apps does it install
2) I see many apps that I have no idea what are they for, nor do I recall ever using them
3) If I install 3rd party apps, I will get more often Updates / Upgrades and I believe that in many cases - I don't want those anyway.
Opinions please
