QEMU/KVM : opengl is not available
by burdi01 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5PBHS)
Current64: Using Conraid's QMEU/KVM (https://slack.conraid.net/):
-- libvirt 7.7.0
-- qemu 6.1.0
-- virt-manager 3.2.0
Starting a VM fails with: Error starting domain: internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2021-09-09T15:12:49.009299Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device virtio-vga-gl,id=video0,max_outputs=1,bus=pci.0,addr=0x2: opengl is not available
With the previous version:
-- libvirt 7.5.0
-- qemu 6.0.0
-- virt-manager 3.2.0
this failure did not occur.
usr/lib64/libOpenGL.so.0.0.0 from libglvnd-1.3.3-x86_64-1.txz is installed.
Some experimenting showed that unchecking virt-manager > Video Virtio > Virtio > 3D acceleration or changing the Model to e.g. QXL resolves / works around the problem.
