Anybody looking for a Linux-compatible mono laser printer? Try a Brother HL-1112
by beachboy2 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5PMCH)
My HP LaserJet 6L finally packed up after 22 years of faithful service.
I replaced it with a cheap non-wifi Brother mono laser HL-1112. A printer cable is required, as is the norm these days.
It works fine in Linux Mint and probably many other distros. The print quality is very good.
Simply download the Driver Install Tool from:

and follow the supplied How to Install" notes.
