efi entry corruption
by krakanut from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5PS8N)
Hello all, Slack-current on Sys 76 laptop. More often than I care to see my efi entry seems to get corrupted and prevents me from booting into Slack. I then need to boot to USB and chroot to run eliloconfig which fixes the situation (that is all I need to do). I am not sure but I think it may have something to do with my EFI partition not being cleanly unmounted if the computer goes to sleep/hibernates. I am not dual booting - i boot directly to slack. My efi partition is mapped /boot/efi/EFI/Slackware which I believe is standard.
Here is my fstab in case this is helpful:
/dev/nvme0n1p1 /boot/efi vfat defaults 1 0
