Kleopatra Only Verifies Encrypted File Beginning with a Period

I tried in vain a few minutes ago to decrypt a file whose name begins with a period using Kleopatra. The file was encrypted using Kleopatra. Kleopatra will only verify the signature of the encrypted file. I've not been able to find any information on the Internet about what the reason may be. Search phrase used: Kleopatra decrypt file begin period. Am I not understanding something or is this a possible bug?

Kleopatra version 21.08.1-1
