MX Linux - USB as Boot drive
by ajaxStardust from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5PXW7)
Greetings. it's been a long time!
I have recently been experimenting with installing Linux (various distros tested). Per an article i read on about recommended distros to run from USB, I tried MX.
I think it may be too feature packed to run as I'd like. I may install it on another system not a USB at another time.
As one who discovered this distro for aforementioned research, have you any recommendations for a lightweight USB boot distro?
I tried Porteus, which is amazingly fast (if loanded to RAM), but i'm not sure i want to tinker with learning Slackware. [EDIT] - Do you know of any debian based distos that could be small enough to load to RAM and run like Porteus?
Thank you for reading!
