Beckham to make season debut vs. Bears
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced Friday that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will make his season debut Sunday against the Chicago Bears, according to Jake Trotter of ESPN.
Beckham tore his ACL in October, and Cleveland took a cautious approach with the veteran, holding him out from the season's first two contests.
The wideout practiced in a limited capacity over the first two weeks before participating fully in all three sessions this week.
His return comes at an opportune time for the Browns, who will be without Jarvis Landry for at least three weeks after placing him on the injured reserve with a knee injury on Tuesday.
Beckham is in his third season with the AFC North club after bursting onto the scene with the New York Giants.
The 28-year-old has struggled to replicate his All-Pro form with the Giants in Cleveland, averaging 58.9 yards per game compared to 92.8 yards over five seasons in New York.
Beckham wouldn't confirm he's set to play when asked Thursday, but he promised his return is "going to be special."
