Browser Timing Out

Hello,I recently started using Linux Ubuntu.The problem I'm currently having is that my browser (Firefox) keeps timing out or web pages do not load. I have tried increasing the script, uninstaling and re installing Firefox,resetting Firefox and adjusting proxy settings and none have worked. I have heard online that disabling Ivp6 settings could work but I am not sure if that's recommended.I also can't install any browser but Firefox, as trying to install any browser but Firefox gives me a "Package Download failed" error message so I can't see if it's an browser,system or internet issue. I feel that I tried everything I can think of and would like to know if anyone has had issues like this before, and if so would appreciate any advice or help on how to fix this issue.
