Touchpad unable to right click or drag windows since kernel 5.12 update
by tofuorbit from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5QHSM)
Hello,
I have a Starlabs Mark IV and since June this year, my touchpad has lost all right-click functionality(no context menu) and I can no longer drag windows I Have recently found there is a known issue with libinput, and it has recently been fixed upstream. Starlabs released a fix yesterday but it has not been able to resolve the problem.
The issue occurs when I upgrade from kernel 5.11 to 5.12(Kubuntu 21.04 to 21.10). I also experienced the same problem when I was on Manjaro(KDE and Gnome).
When I run libinput list-devices | grep Touchpad command I notice the output changes when I upgrade.
On 21.04 when my system is working I get the output - kernel bug: clickpad advertising right button
However on 21.10 when it breaks the output is - kernel bug:clickpad with a right button, assuming it is not a clickpad.
Has anyone else had any similar issues?, and if so have any idea how it can be resolved.
I am running version 1.18.1 libinput, would up/downgrading libinput either likely to fix the issue or break my system?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
