Report: Giants' Golladay expected to miss Week 6 due to knee injury
Kenny Golladay has apparently avoided a serious knee injury.
The New York Giants wide receiver, who left Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys prematurely due to a knee ailment, is expected to miss his team's Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Rams, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Giants expect Golladay to be out for only a week or two after initially fearing he suffered a major injury, adds Rapoport.
The 27-year-old wideout joined New York as a free agent in the offseason and currently leads the Giants with 29 targets and 282 receiving yards this season. He's also caught 17 passes.
Several of New York's offensive starters have gone down with injuries lately, including Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton - two of the team's other top receivers. Neither player suited up Sunday.
Quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley also left Week 5 with injuries. Jones is currently in concussion protocol, while Barkley is reportedly considered week-to-week after suffering a low ankle sprain.
The Giants' depth chart also features rookie wideout Kadarius Toney and tight end Evan Engram. Toney leads the club with 20 receptions through five games and is coming off an impressive performance versus Dallas, racking up 189 yards and 10 receptions.
