Virt-Manager: How to share Fedora Host files with Windows Guest System
by MSwal2846 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5QMNY)
Hi Everyone!
I am a long time Virtualbox user but I've found that Virtualbox isn't supporting the environment that I will need for Windows 11. So I thought I would play with Virt-Manager since I run Fedora 34.
So I have Windows 10 Pro running as a guest under a Fedora 34 Virt-Manager. Now I am trying to get files shared between the two. This was fairly straight forward with Virtualbox ... but not as much with Virt-Manager. I'm not very knowledgeable on the networking stuff and so I need a pointer to some straight forward doc (I am very willing to research this myself).
Googling brings up all sort of "stuff" some very old and I'm not sure how reliable ... and very little that is straight forward enough for my brain to grasp.
I did get the various tools installed and am able to drag files back and forth between the two environments but that's a bit clunky. So I would appreciate recommendations on the best wayto set this up. Thanks!
