NVidiot's driver - flame thread

Tried the new nvidia beta today. They dropped kepler support. The website info on the driver seems to indicate they didn't, but they did. When I tried to install it threw a warning that my card was no longer supported in the main drive only the 470.x legacy , and the kernel module build failed. I downloaded the readme and the readme confirmed no kepler for the beta.
This beta has the port to GBM wayland, so it is particularly cruel to abandon kepler just before that important feature landed.
They won't support nouveau with reclocking to make nouveau useful to gamers.
