Can not boot Mint on Acer Aspire 5 - "Need do load kernel first" displayed

Hello,
I have an acer aspire-5.
I have a parallel-installation of windows 10 and linux mint. When I start my laptop it usually opens a boot menu where I can choose between linux or windows.
Since the latest windows I cant boot linux anymore, instead it just displays the message "need to load kernel first".
Of course I googled what to do, but solutions differ so Im not quite sure, what steps to follow.
Id be thankful for any help.
