Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt is expected to miss several weeks with a calf injury, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport notes Hunt could return in four-to-six weeks, making a stint on injured reserve likely.

Hunt was helped off the field after suffering the injury during the Browns' 37-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The 26-year-old has recorded five touchdowns and 361 yards on 69 attempts this season, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

With Hunt out and Nick Chubb suffering a calf injury the week prior against the Los Angeles Chargers, the starting running back situation is unclear. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski is "not ruling out" Chubb playing Thursday against the Denver Broncos, per ESPN's Jake Trotter.

If both Hunt and Chubb are ruled out for the Thursday Night Football matchup, third-year running back D'Ernest Johnson is the likely option after filling in against the Cardinals.

Stefanski added that linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah will also miss time with a high-grade ankle sprain.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield said he dislocated his shoulder and was seen wearing a sling after the Cardinals game.

Both of Cleveland's starting offensive tackles Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills Jr. were inactive Sunday, as Conklin dealt with a knee injury and Wills continues to deal with an ankle injury suffered Week 1.
