Mint-Cinnamon Grouped Window List app has 6px space btwn each panel open window or icon

I've looked at LM 20.1's Mint themes & 3rd party Cinnamox-Heather.
When install the Cinnamon Grouped Window List applet, a 6px "space" is between all open apps' "boxes" (or betwn apps' icons, if only displaying title on focusedapp.

Is this a "standard" feature to use a large space? For yrs, I've never had spaces betwn browser tabs or panel objects.
If anyone knows how to eliminate the gap in screenshot, I'd appreciate suggestions.

I've changed everything I know or properties / values that remotely sounded like it controlled the 6px vertical space - no joy.
Even in Mint-X or Y (in Cinnamon.css), which are very simple compared to Cinnamox Heather.

Native Mint themes have exact same extra wide space & nothing I tried worked.
Could be a bug in the applet (I filed a question / report on Cinnamon Github).

Oddly, using the same Cinnamox Heather version on another box w/ LM 19.3 XFCE, it doesn't have the gap. Nor do the included themes in LM 19.3. Spent longer trying to eliminate or reduce the gap than care to admit. Wife left, lost my job....

In screenshot, the round-ish red dot is in the middle of the space / gap.
To the R of that, by the round "number badge" w/ red '3,' you can see another. All the same.
In any Mint-X or Y theme, due to colors, borders, it's very obvious. It was in Cinnamox Heather (shown), before I played w/ some colors.

That extra space isn't needed. When showing only open apps' icons (except on focused app), they already have padding on L & R. Don't need 6px extra.

I found several entries for 6px (or 3 on each side of some objects). A couple may be in the section for grouped windows - most weren't.
Changing them had no effect, unless I messed up badly.
