New York Jets owner Woody Johnson believes the team will figure things out soon.

Johnson said Tuesday that he has "unwavering, steadfast confidence" in general manager Joe Douglas and first-year head coach Robert Saleh despite New York's 1-5 start, according to the New York Daily News' DJ Bien Aime.

The 74-year-old executive also isn't worried about rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, who leads the league with nine interceptions in 2021.

"We will get it right," Johnson said. "Just a very young team with a 22-year-old quarterback. He's seeing things for the first time."

The Jets and Wilson lost 54-13 to the New England Patriots on Sunday. New York ranks dead last in scoring and 29th in points allowed.

"Last week (was) frustrating," Johnson said. "But now we turn the page and we're off to the (Cincinnati) Bengals."

New York will try to snap its two-game losing streak without Wilson, who suffered a PCL injury and will miss two-to-four weeks. The injury led the Jets to acquire veteran quarterback Joe Flacco in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. Flacco is the favorite to start until Wilson returns, with Mike White serving as the backup.

Douglas joined the Jets in 2019. He's put together two draft classes for New York, selecting Wilson, offensive linemen Mekhi Becton and Alijah Vera-Tucker, and wide receivers Denzel Mims and Elijah Moore, among others.

Douglas and Co. are coming off a busy offseason that saw the Jets hire Saleh as Adam Gase's replacement and trade quarterback Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers.

The Jets are 3-19 since last season's Week 1.
