As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to add to their defense ahead of the Nov. 2 trade deadline.

The Chiefs have made an offer to the Pittsburgh Steelers for disgruntled pass-rusher Melvin Ingram, according to Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network.

Pittsburgh is reportedly open to moving the three-time Pro Bowler, but the Steelers ideally want to send him to an NFC team, Kinkhabwala adds.

Ingram wants out of Pittsburgh due to reduced playing time, according to reports. The 32-year-old was on the field for the majority of his team's snaps through the first month but has played fewer than 50% in two of the last three games, including a season-low 26% in Week 6.

The veteran defensive end has racked up just 10 tackles and one sack in 2021.

Meanwhile, Kansas City has one of the NFL's worst defenses, ranking 27th in points allowed and 32nd in sacks. Ingram visited the Chiefs during the offseason before signing a one-year deal with Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are coming off a bye and will face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
