[SOLVED] KDE hangs upon logging out

On 15.0 (14.2+), when I use the " < " on the Plasma menu to logout, I get the logout screen with options to Sleep, Hibernate, etc. When I select "Log Out", KDE seems to log me out, but then just hangs. I don't get a new log on screen, just a black screen with a cursor that can't point to anything. This leads to me doing a hard restart on my laptop, by just pressing the power button. How can I fix this?
