Person shot during Toronto police raid near Port Dover

One person is in hospital after being shot during a Toronto police weapons search near Port Dover Wednesday afternoon.
According to a tweet from Toronto Police Service just before 4 p.m., officers from the city executed a firearms search warrant" at noon.
An officer has discharged their firearm," said the tweet.
Once person has been struck and taken to hospital."
Port Ryerse Road, west of Port Dover, remains closed between St. John's Road East and Highway 6 for a police investigation, according to the local OPP detachment.
There is no threat to public safety," OPP Const. Mary Gagliardi tweeted.
Toronto police said the Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate.
The SIU investigates incidents involving police in Ontario where someone is killed or seriously injured, or there is an allegation of sexual assault.
