Emergency crews respond to multiple-alarm fire at Camelot Towers on Main Street West

A fire on the seventh floor of Camelot Towers, a Main Street West highrise, caused about $100,000 in damages.
Emergency services were called to 1001 Main St. W. around 10:51 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3. Black smoke was visible.
The fire was quickly upgraded to multiple alarm, drawing more resources from across the city.
By 11:30 a.m., the Hamilton Fire Department said on Twitter that the fire was under control. Crews were working to remove smoke from the building.
The fire is not considered supicious.
