The Burnt Tongue is opening a fourth location in Dundas
Soup's on, Dundas.
Hamilton's own The Burnt Tongue will be opening a new location on King Street West this fall.
Signage for the restaurant, moving into the former home of Taylor's Tea Room, was installed Wednesday.
In an email to The Spectator, director of guest experience and business development Michael Leon said the organization is aiming to open the new location in early December, as some minor work" must still be completed.
Leon also said the Dundas opening is very special" for the locally-owned business, which has close ties" to the community.
We've been fortunate to have many Dundas residents visit our current locations and we're excited to shorten the trip for our soon-to-be neighbours," said Leon. Being able to make this dream a reality is all thanks to the continued support of the greater Hamilton community - we are extremely grateful."
The Burnt Tongue has three other locations in the city - one on Locke Street, another in Westdale and its original spot on Cannon Street, which opened in September 2013.
The eatery is known for its rotating menu of soups and sandwiches, burgers, loaded fries and salads.
